Eligibility: TIAA-CREF Trust Company

The TIAA-CREF Trust Company is available to anyone — you don't need to have or even eligible for a TIAA-CREF retirement plan. Services are on a for-fee basis, however, and generally of greater interest and practicality for people with substantial assets. In addition, the Trust Company offers institutional services for the not-for-profit community.

Personal Eligibility

Typically, potential customers for our personal trust services include:

Those with $750,000 or more in investable assets and who want customized portfolio management.
Those seeking to roll $750,000 or more into a professionally managed IRA.
Those who, in addition to using the Trust Company for investment management, have complex estate planning requirements.
Those who want to use a trust for a substantial program of charitable giving and/or other philanthropic activities.
Those who are approaching retirement and want to consolidate considerable assets under a single investment management program.

Institutional Eligibility

The Trust Company specializes in investment and endowment management, planned giving, and other services to education, research, and not-for-profit organizations in the United States, regardless of whether they currently participate in the TIAA-CREF retirement system or sponsor other TIAA-CREF programs and/or services.
