Cara L. Schnaper

Cara Schnaper is Executive Vice President, Technology and Operations at TIAA-CREF.  Ms. Schnaper oversees the company's technology and operations strategy and policy.  She also is responsible for continuing to upgrade TIAA-CREF's systems and technology infrastructure and ensuring an integrated approach between the company's information technology and operations groups.

Ms. Schnaper joined TIAA-CREF with nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and extensive experience in operations and technology.  Most recently, Ms. Schnaper served as a principal at Market Resolve, LLC, a consulting firm that provides guidance on technology and operations of financial companies.  Prior to that, she worked at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where she oversaw a staff of 2,000 people responsible for providing operational infrastructure to the institutional business.  She also managed the middle office of the investment bank and had a key role in the integration of operations and technology during the merger of JPMorgan and Chase.  Previously, she was the head of technology and operations for JPMorgan's equities department.

Ms. Schnaper received her B.S. and a Master of Business Administration degree from Cornell University.
